So I am very late to the Orange is the New Black (OITNB) party! Am halfway through season two at the mo. Me and the boyf have been binge watching it for about a week now. And we are both LOVING IT!

I could make so many quote pieces from this show, they roll them out constantly. And I know that I will definitely be making more. Both of these are from Piper, so I think if I do more I might do a few for each character. The quote bellow was said by Piper’s Grandmother to her. At the start she was one of my least favourite characters, but as we’ve gone on I’m warming to her. She’s still not my favourite, but she’s getting better.
It is not really surprising but still frustrating that for a show to have such a wide range of age and race of women it had to be set in a women’s prison. There are plenty of shows that have mostly male characters that are set in the outside world, but for some reason its a challenge to create one with women? And not just a group of attractive young women, thats too easy, there are plenty of those types of shows. With OITNB we are seeing that finally. The interesting thing is that men are watching it, and not just because they’re girlfriends are but because they want to. Here’s hoping that this isn’t a once off….
